We are communicating in virtual space. Our social environment is liberated from nature. We are not experiencing nature. This website introduces virtual nature to us. It is a nature that excludes the human though. The circumstances of the motive are inhospitable like snowstorms, ice, inundations or conflagrations? Or it is because the image itself sets borders that segregates us from space?

The design of the homepage is divided into 3 levels. The User looks straight onto the scene. In the foreground he sees a wire frame shape that stands for the mental space, for our thoughts, for the content of this website. In the middle ground a black shape that looks like the lens of a photo camera blocks out the space in the background. Only a small slit in the middle of the page gives us a taste of the virtual nature in the back. The background is the virtual nature level itself.

The user clicks on a section and enters the content area. At the very end of the page is a virtual nature clipping. Each section displays a specific topic that evolves slowely. Each cycle is unique. When we started to design we didn´t know where it would end: will the series end in disaster and eruption, will nature be transformed into another sphere or will it end in a surreal irritating composition?

The navigation refers to the activity of learning itself. We are starting with research, collect and understand the data, we create examples, create conclusions in various fields and go to understanding for developing an analyses and the abstraction. This is why the sections are called: Facts, Connection and Conclusion, Creation and Insight.
